Experience a Future

In Church Leadership

Rooted in the Gospel | Alive in the Spirit | Formed by the Liturgy

3 Streams Institute is an adult learning and ministry formation program that combines hands-on experience with mentorship, spiritual formation, theological learning, and character development. Through internships, apprenticeships, and residencies, participants develop the practical skills and personal foundations needed for meaningful ministry leadership.

3 Streams Institute is an initiative of Wellspring Church in Englewood, Colorado.

As ministry leaders, it can be tempting to separate knowledge from application, theology from formation, and vocational discernment from church community.

At 3 Streams, we believe that practical experience, holistic formation, and authentic community are vital for ministry preparation—so that’s what we’ve set out to do.

Our four-year curriculum is built on decades of ministry experience.

YEAR ONE

Internship

The internship is an experiential, formational, and relational work-based learning experience for those exploring pastoral ministry.

YEAR TWO

Apprenticeship

The apprenticeship is focused on pastoral training, career discernment, and work in a ministry department.

YEARS THREE & FOUR

Residency

The residency is a two-year, full-time pastoral pathway for leaders discerning senior pastoral leadership and ordination to the priesthood in the Anglican Church.

  • “My apprenticeship was immensely refreshing to our family’s lives and ministry. Being surrounded by and trained for ministry in an environment that is so genuinely passionate for Jesus refilled our tanks from a season of immense burnout. It set us up for success in planting a new Anglican church on the west side of Denver.”

Daniel Coffey, Rector/Priest, Redemption Anglican Church

  • “I loved being a part of the Wellspring Church internship in 2017. It jump-started my career in ministry in a really beautiful and approachable way. I was able to gain new relationships, new knowledge, and a newfound love for Jesus through firsthand experience in a church and on church staff.”

Sara Kidd, Worship Leader, Wellspring Church

  • “The internship at Wellspring gave me clarity in my calling, a community for training, and a big imagination for ministry. My wife and I give thanks for our years at Wellspring and its sister churches because they grounded us in the gospel and helped us gain a footing as we entered church planting.”

Kempton Jackson, Rector/Priest, Resurrection Anglican Church

  • “God has used 3Streams to redeem many parts of my story, inviting me to step slowly back into serving while being both deeply supported and genuinely challenged. Throughout this season, the steady invitation has been to keep my eyes on Jesus and return to him again and again for strength, learning that surrender allows me to embrace my limits, let go of others’ expectations, and serve with joy. Though this is easier said than done, I’m amazed by God’s kindness and the ways this time has brought healing to my fears around ministry and renewed my love for the beauty of the body of Christ.”
