Asia Bushlack
Apprentice
3 Streams Institute
Hi, my name is Asia, and this year I’ll be an apprentice at Wellspring Church through the 3 Streams Institute. I’m passionate about Spirit-led prayer, relational healing, and sharing the one true gospel, and I’m excited to take the next steps in my ministry preparation. Over the next year, I’ll be serving in the Missions department, loving and serving our neighbors who are poor and experiencing homelessness. Thank you for considering a gift toward my ministry formation and the people I’ll have the privilege of serving through this apprenticeship.

FAQ’s
-
3 Streams Institute, an initiative of Wellspring Church in Englewood, Colorado, is an educational organization dedicated to recruiting, training, forming and sending a new generation of church leaders across North America. 3 Streams is a work-based learning program which complements formal theological education and provides interns, apprentices, and residents practical experience, healthy community, and learning focused on church leadership as well as spiritual, emotional, and relational health.
-
Incoming apprentices receive a $8,000/yr tuition benefit from Wellspring to support their formal education. Wellspring Church will match up to $10,000 of every dollar an apprentice raises that supports their salary. Residents (the year after apprenticeship) raise additional dollars to support a full-time salary. This amount for residents needed can range from $20,000 to $70,000 depending on circumstances.
-
The goal for the internship is to give early career students broad exposure to life working in a church while deepening their spiritual, emotional, and relational health. The apprenticeship takes the next step and gives apprentices deepening training, space to discern career next steps, and hands-on pastoral experience. The residency is built around the ordination process in the diocese of the Rocky Mountains and aims to form senior leaders who will serve as church planters, senior pastors, missionaries, and pastors.
-
Yes, you will receive a tax receipt from Wellspring Church for your gift to support an apprentice or resident.

About Asia
I’m stoked to share the growing passion God is giving me for local missions! I grew up in rural Minnesota and attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where I earned a B.S. in psychology. When I moved to Phoenix, it was a culture shock. I saw people without homes for the first time in my life. My heart ached, and verses about serving the poor flooded my mind. I wanted to help, but didn’t know how. When I moved to Denver and started attending Wellspring, I immediately fell in love with The Well, our ministry to the local homeless. I’m confident that this apprenticeship is my next step of obedience, a way to live a life on mission and share the gospel. Through it, I’ll gain experience and guidance in how to love and serve our homeless neighbors well.
“3 Streams Institute (3SI) has blessed me this past year, providing me with opportunities to enrich my prayer life with Christ, serve the church, and serve the poor in our neighborhood. In my apprenticeship, I hope to gain more experience and guidance to love and serve our local homeless population.”
